Horse boxes that can be driven by a 17-year old on a normal car licence.

At TopLine we have spent many years developing our own horse transporter, whilst we have been participating in Riding and Pony Club events all around the country. Now that we have something comfortable for ourselves, for our budget, and for our horses, we are happy to share our expertise in this area with others.

Our EquiVans will, we know, meet the highest requirements of the happy hackers and earnest eventers. That is why we call them TopLine.

The top line is to be several clear rounds ahead of anything else - to be the top line available in this specialist market. Safety and comfort are high on the list of built-in priorities.

The bottom line - always a financial thing - is that EquiVans are very economical horse transporters.

To make a TopLine EquiVan we start with a standard commercial vehicle with a powerful diesel engine, to your choice; new, or used, as your budget permits. Our research shows there are, at present, only two marques that have all the suitable properties for conversion. Customers are welcome to undertake this purchase themselves, or we will arrange it all for you. Our own mechanics will ensure that the engine and chassis are top-line.

We cut and fit a side loading door and ramp, prepare a rubber lined stall area, and make space for tack. We add all the necessary refinements such as ventilation, heating, and additional lighting circuits. We use materials that are strong, comfortable, and hygienic, with special emphasis on safety and legal requirements.

By careful selection of vehicle, materials, and design, we have produced a horse box that can be legally driven by a 17 year old on a normal car licence - and without the bother of hitching and reversing a trailer.
